With over 3 decades of experience, Andrew Touesnard is a seasoned Celtic violinist whose career began at age six. Known for their enchanting performances, Andrew has been a staple at the Halifax waterfront and Farmers’ Market since 1995.

Andrew’s diverse career includes roles in the movie Pit Pony, appearances on TV shows like Haven and The Lizzy Borden Chronicles, and a featured role in a Captain Morgan commercial. They also dedicated ten years to performing at weddings, creating memorable musical moments for numerous couples.

A highlight of Andrew’s career includes a memorable collaboration with Natalie MacMaster on the Christmas Daddies telethon in 1998. Andrew has also had the honor of performing for Prince Charles and Canada’s current Prime Minister.

Today, Andrew offers their extensive experience and deep love for Celtic music as a professional band member for hire. Whether for private events, public performances, or collaborative projects, Andrew is committed to delivering exceptional performances and creating memorable experiences.
